Biodynamic Organic Ethanol

Ethanol is an organic chemical compound that is naturally produced by the fermentation of sugars by yeasts or processes such as ethylene hydration. It serves as an antiseptic (prevents growth of disease-causing microorganisms) and as carrier agent in tinctures, tonics, and elixirs.

Cymbiotika’s Adrenal Supertonic contains a Biodynamic Organic Ethanol sourced from Marian Farms in Fresno, CA and has been used as the extraction agent for many of the herbs/plants in this formula; it has the ability to enhance the flavor profiles of these plants while also acting as a carrier for the medicinal properties of our finished product. This special ethanol has been sourced from Biodynamically grown grapes that have been harvested and crushed within 24 hours and then immediately added into fermenters. All of the fermentation process takes place naturally with no added yeasts or proteins. Once the juice has been converted to alcohol, the wine is then run through a copper pot distilling process until finished.

We chose to use this Biodynamic Ethanol because we have a deep respect for the integrity and intention behind how it’s cultivated through Biodynamic practices. Along with this, ethanol has the ability to deplete iron in the body, and since Adrenal Supertonic also contains guava (a high iron fruit), the ethanol counters the iron’s ability to constipate the body.
