A pioneer at the intersection of beauty, wellness, and technology, Iván Pol has built a career sculpting and caring for some of the most recognizable faces in the world, including Emma Stone, Kim Kardashian, and Sabrina Carpenter. We spoke with Iván Pol about how his work began, what most people misunderstand about the skin, the role of internal support, the rituals that ground his days, and what living with intention looks like to him now.
You’ve built a career sculpting and caring for some of the most recognizable faces in the world, including Emma Stone, Kim Kardashian, and Ana de Armas. How did this work begin for you?
It started 16 years ago in a dermatology office, where I first began exploring how technology, wellness, and skincare could transform the face. From there, I developed my own approach and eventually created my brand in Los Angeles, building a career around helping people look and feel their best – safely, effectively, and without downtime.
After more than a decade working at the intersection of beauty, wellness, and technology, what do you believe most experts still underestimate about the skin?
Non-invasive procedures like mine can give at least a temporary effect similar to a facelift. Clients need to understand that it’s possible to “fool” people into thinking you’ve had surgery.
From your experience, what are people most missing when they focus only on topical skincare without addressing internal support?
People need to nourish their skin from the inside out. That means feeding the face with healthy fats, using facial oils (like my brand The Beauty Sandwich), and really addressing barrier repair to strengthen the skin.
The Beauty Sandwich is an unexpected name in luxury skincare. Why was it important for you that the name disrupted expectations from the start?
I wanted people to truly understand that beauty is about layers. The name reflects how I “stack” radio frequencies like a sandwich in my treatments, and it’s also a fun, approachable way to think about beauty.
The Beauty Sandwich began as a waitlist-only treatment before it became a brand. What problem were you trying to solve that traditional skincare wasn’t addressing?
I wanted to create the first highly effective facial treatment with zero downtime, something that delivered results without the recovery of traditional procedures.
What are the core ingredients or ingredient categories you build your formulas around?
Active florals and plant cholesterols, 100% botanicals. We use the world’s most luxurious, rare facial oils, sourced only from organic and sustainable ingredients, so they’re both potent and gentle on the skin.
What are the top three habits you recommend to everyone for better skin, regardless of age?
Hydration, sauna, and walking.
Which are some at-home skin devices do you think are actually effective?
The LYMA Laser, I recommend this one because it stimulates collagen, promotes skin elasticity, and helps smooth fine lines and wrinkles without invasive procedures. It’s a device that combines advanced technology with convenience, so you can get professional-level benefits at home.
What does your morning routine actually look like on a workday?
I start with meditation while listening to frequencies, then hydrate. My morning “cocktail” is lime, cayenne pepper, olive oil, and mineral salt.
What role do supplements play in your daily rituals, and which ones do you never skip?
Supplements are key. I never skip Cymbiotika, vitamin C, or magnesium.
Do you take Cymbiotika supplements as part of your daily routine? If so, which ones?
Yes, I take Cymbiotika’s Coated Silver.
Are there any skincare products out there right now, besides your own, that you’re actually excited about?
I love Dr. Jason Diamond’s line Metacine. His products are rooted in his treatments and science, and they layer beautifully with the Beauty Sandwich routine.
Any podcasts or books you’re really into at the moment?
I’m reading Dick Schwartz’s No Bad Parts.
What advice do you give people who want to do meaningful work in beauty or wellness?
Manifest, journal, and don’t lose sight of your dreams.
